You will note from the material listed on these two pages that I am seriously committed to service at the institutions where I have taught, working closely with students as well as with the faculty and administration, chairing committees and my department, regularly supervising student thesis, capstone projects, and dissertations, serving on boards and fellowship committee, founding and directing a Medieval and Renaissance Studies degree, and performing community outreach. In my final year at VCU I was awarded a year-long Faculty Fellowship in the Provost’s Office dedicated to Faculty Development as recognition of that dedication and then was appointed as director of Faculty Development upon my return to Sweet Briar. I have gained further administrative experience in my role as vice president of our flagship organization, the International Center of Medieval Art in preparation for my presidency from 2026-2029.
